Oh my little 2 year old! He is already talking about it being his birthday. He makes me laugh everyday! He also makes my blood pressure go up everyday! Kaden is doing great. He is a little bowl of energy and I wish I had the energy to keep up!
Kaden always wants to "see Kaden" in the camera so if I want to take a pic of him it has to be quick beacuse he starts going for the camera. Even videotaping he wants to see himself and will just stand there and stare. This is a shot of him asking to see the camera, I am sure he was doing something cute....
Oh good ol Alaskan pools! This one keeps his toys from being thrown everywhere, still happens. Grandma Bev did get them a baby pool so now we are waiting for another hot day!
I think he was growling in this photo. He loves tigers and lions. He is always asking me what certain animals say so he can hear a bear, cow, dog, etc. He has asked me what a giraffe, turtle and a hippo say...... He also likes to ask what does a mommy, daddy, and baby animals says. Jason roars really load for the daddy lion. It actualy scares him so Jason will say "kaden want to hear the daddy lion?" and Kaden will say NO! He doesnt like loud noises. He was affraid of loud trucks and motorcycles that would go by.
Sorry I forgot to turn this photo. All I have to say is Kesid puts up with him a lot. She probably does this because he feeds he pretty well with food on the floor.
We went for a hike on Mothers Day. Kaden loved hiking and picking up rocks

Brooke trying to grab kadens hair...
This is the after pic.....
The before pic I asked Kaden to put his head next to Brooke, the few times that he actually listens to what I say.
This boy LOVES to bounce. He will just start bouncing in the middle of the living room. He has Jasons strong legs. he is also starting to jump off things. He likes to jump from the coffee table onto the couch. I am trying to get him to stop cause the coffee table has wheels on it. I guess he will jsut have to learn.

I figure the easiest way to "catch up" is to show pics. Im more of a writer then a typer so I will try to put as much down as possible and my patience allows....
Brooke is very expressive like Kaden. She surprises us more and more. She is behind on motor development, but she likes to take things slow. You can see the wheels a turnin with her. We had her 9 month checlup, even though is is 10 mons. She weighs 13.6 lbs and her head has only grown a centimeter.
She is starting to eat solids and uses her arms and hands much more. She is going to physical and ocupational therapy once a week. We are working on her using her muscles together and relaxing them because they are so tight, especially her right side. Her left arm is more dominant, and we think its due to the damage on her left side of the brain. But she is feeding herself and is almost rolling over. She sits up by herself for almost a minute. We are trying to work on her using her hands to hold herself up because she like to keep them up.
Yep Brooke is wearing glasses. She was actually leaving them on but now she is taking them off. She is farsighted and has a stigmatism, so hopefully the glasses will correct that. If not, then they will have to do surgery to cut her muscles. But her eyes use to cross a lot and now I rarely see them cross.
I am having a lot of fun putting her in dresses!!
For the most part she is a happy baby. She does not like being away from me but does fine with family and friends. Gets a little rough at night because we have to lay next to her to get her to go to sleep or hold her. She is a very light sleeper and wakes up if we are not next to her. I know she is getting older and I am trying to figure out when to just let her cry it out. Its hard though because I dont know where she is at mentally. Just a couple of months ago she had the motor development of a 3 month old so its hard to say where she is at mentally. So I have to do a lot of shuffling back and forth to put her back to sleep.
As you can see here she is doing much better with head control. I have to help put her arms under so she is able to hold herself up. Brooke loves to say "dada" and she mimics me when I shake my head. She has one of the brightest smiles and she lights up when Jason, Kaden or myself walks in the room. She loves her big brother. Whenever Kaden sits near her, she always tries to touch his face. Sometimes she grabs his hair, but Kaden loves the attention from her
Blue and green dress how fitting!
This is the picture after I took the paper away....
Brooke who grab a piece of paper from me and starting chewing on it. Brooke enjoys anything that makes crinkly noses, she loves paper and the wipes package.
Kaden got up in the chair to sit next to her. He adores her.
When she does fall asleep, I try to leave her where she is at, whether that is the car seat, stroller, my bed, etc. Since it has been so nice, we have been going to the park more. Brooke loves to go on the swing. Of course I have to put a jacket in wih her because it just swallows her up. Brooke also loves to bounce. As soon as you stand her up, she is bouncing and she presses her lips and her cheeks get all big.
