4th of July and other stuff

One day we all decided to go for a little walk. We couldn't go 5 inches without kaden saying "rock!' and picking it up. The boys loves rocks! The mosquitoes were getting pretty bad so we only stayed like 10 mins. But we took Kaden down to the creek and he was ready to jump in! He had to put his hands and feet in. He didn't care how cold it was either.
It has been so fu watching Kaden lately. He is starting to walk backwards, spin around, and tries to jump. He can only get one foot off the ground but it is so funny. He is also trying to talk a lot more. He talks none stop and its all gibberish, but so cute! He is running as well. He likes to run with his hands behind his back. He surprises me with as much as he understands I told him something he picked up was trash and to put it in the trashcan. Sure enough, he walked over to the trashcan and put it in. Whenever I say lets get in the bath, he darts upstairs and stands next to the tub. The best is when I say lets take a nap and he SOMETIMES walks into his room and stands next to his crib asking for milk. That doesnt excite him as much unless he is really tired.

For the 4th of July, we went to visit some friends in the Kenai area. Kaden enjoyed playing with the 6 kids and 2 dogs that were there. We went to a parade and Kaden just loved watching, mainly the dogs that would go by. He also loved the little mascots as well. One lady stopped the whole parade just to come over to him and give him some candy!

Some of the "big kids" did a sack race. It was hilarious! Jason won by a hair. It was great getting kettle corn and just letting Kaden run around. Like I said he loved seeing all the dogs walking around! Everytime he saw one he would let you know, "Doggie!"

I am not sure what Kaden and Jason are looking at but I just love their faces! Kaden is my cuddlebug! He loves giving hugs and kisses. He always has to have his hand on us when he sits near us, whether to read a book or just play. In the other picture, Kaden is trying to give his friend Cooper a high five. Jon and Jason are being great dads and letting me take photos of them. There are more pics of our weekend trip and I will post them as soon as I get them.

As for Jason and I, we keep pretty busy. Jason is actually on a glacier somewhere in Denali National park with a mountaineering class. He comes back tomorrow and I am so excited to see him. He has been gone almost a week. He has also been trading out the engine on his bronco so he can get taht up and running. Me, I TRY to do stuff but I am so tired. I am just under 2 months away to having Brooke. This time around I seem to lack energy. I usually take naps when Kaden takes naps. My back has really been bothering me so I try not to pick Kaden up as much. I am enjoying not having any commitments right now. So I try to get the house ready for Brooke, but seems like most times I am finding a place to sit and relax. I have been reading some great books and that has really been enjoyable. My docotor still wants me to gain more weight and I promise him that I am eating a lot! I dont think the skin on my belly can handle it though!
