Home Sweet Home

So it has been a couple of weeks back home. I am finally starting to get in the swing of things. Brooke sleeps for 4 hours SOMETIMES at night and that feels great for me. Its those wakenings every 2-3 hours that kill me. She is doing well and growing. She did fail 5 hearing tests so we have to go take a BARE test. It is a 3-4 hour long test to pin point waht kind of hearing problems, if any, she has. We do know that she hears because she reacts when Kaden is loud orthe cabinent closes. I will keep everyone posted when we find out after the test.

My grandma came to visit Brooke. So this is Kaden and Brooke's great grandma. This is America Moore, who Brooke and I get our middle name from. She was so exited to see Brooke.
This is a hat I knitted for Brooke while in the hospital. I finally finished it at home. It will come in handy because it is starting to get cold. There is what we call "termination dust" on the mountains, which means there is first snow on the top of the mountains.

Kaden loves his sister. He is always giving her kisses and saying "hi Book" in his cute little voice. Its amazing how different these 2 are though. Brooke HATES her car seat and cries when she goes in. So we are not going very many places unless we need to. She also loves to be held and has to be held to go to sleep. I used to be able to sing to Kaden to get him to stop crying and I cant do taht with Brooke. They only way to get her to stop crying is to hold or feed her. She is already a princess! She also makes so much noise! She grunts and hums herself to sleep, its pretty funny to hear. She gets fiesty sometimes. But other then being held, she is pretty content.

At least someone is getting sleep around here!

Jason and I got to get out by ourselves for a couple of hours thanks to Jason's mo Lou. We went to Kincaid Park and hiked. This is one of our first dates when we were young and full of life!

Hiking down a hill. Jason basically ran up the hill. I slowed him down, he had to check to make sure I wasnt rolling down the hill.

Jason skipping rocks.

There are moose all over this park. There were 2 moose and I think this was the baby moose. Down a ways was a bull moose and I am glad we didnt run into him. They have been more agitated this season.

This was the view from the side of the hill we were climbing. Its fall time here so all the leaves are turning and you see the snow!

She's home!

This is the first day we brought Brooke home. Kaden was pretty exited to have his sister home as well!
I forogt what it was like having a newborn in the house! As you can tell, I didnt get very much sleep. My mom helped me out the week we were home which was really nice.
Our little peanut! She is so small compared to Kaden!
Kaden loves his sister. A little too much sometimes! He is learning what it means to be gentle. He loves to give her kisses, they are more like licks. Whenever he gets up in the morning he asks where she is. Every 15 mins he has to see her. One time I moved Brooke and he asked where she was and I said I dont know and he started crying. He is going to be a great big brother.
Our little pink lady. She looks good in it!

Isnt she a cutie!
